WHAT
IS THE ULTRASOUND TECHNIQUE? |
 |
It
is a mechanical vibration with a bigger range than the audible one
for the human being´s hearing that is transmitted through a
physical meduim and it is guided, registered and measured in Hertz
with an apparatus created for its end.
The technique is based on the application to the body through a treatment
bolster. Kinetic or mechanical energy (sound waves) are driven, absorbed,
and converted by the body into another energy class (activated caloric).

ACTION
MECHANISM OF ULTRASOUND. |
 |
1.
PHYSIOLOGIC
Hiperemia: It is an iimportant thermal effect, caused by a local increase
of the temperature. This hyperemia first appears on the superficial
layers where the energy is absorbed.
There is an increase of the cellular permeability: In a mechanical
effect, the cells enter into rhythmic waves. Pulsations of the cellular
membrane occur, giving place to a change in the structure of the tissue,
especially in its permeability. This molecular movement gives place
to an acceleration of the osmotic and metabolic processes at a cellular
level. The increase of the cellular permeability with hiperemia produces
an analgesic action- a lithic antiflogistic spasm can end up being
destructive if the unit is used at high power levels.
Lithic spasm action: The vasodialation is not only apparent when there
is normal irrigation, but especially in vascular spasms. Besides acting
on these, the ultrasound also acts on all the organs contracted by
spasms.
Antiflogistic action: This action is based on the increase of the
sanguine irrigation and in the dilation of the lymphatic lines. This
is the reason that the application of ultrasound is a better solution.
Neural effect: From the therapeutic point of view it can be clarified
that the speed of conduction of the outlying nerves is lost and it
is possible to produce temporary blockades, depending on the fiber
type. As a result, differences are shown in the sensitivity of the
C fibers.
2. MECHANIC
A mechanical effect of micro massage takes place with interesting
therapeutic actions. A cavitation phenomenon occurs. This mechanical
factor produces an increase in the permeability of the cellular membranes
with the rising acceleration of the exchange of fluids, favoring the
diffusion processes and improving the cellular metabolism.
3. CHEMICAL
As a consequence of the mechanical and thermal factor, a series of
chemical reactions appear as the freeing of vasodialated substances.

DERMOCELL
ULTRASOUND EQUIPMENT |
 |
The
Dermocell Ultrasound equipment possesses a totally digital system,
facilitating its handling and control of the treatment variables.
Some of the special characteristics of the Dermocell Ultrasound equipment
are:
• LCD screen with (Back Light) for optimum reading of the treatment
variables.
• completely digital, user friendly operating system, that guides
the operator in the programming of the machine.
• constant monitoring of the temperature of the bolster during
the period of execution, with direct visualization of the value read
on the LCD screen.
• Protection of the excess of temperature in the treatment bolster,
gauged at 40ºC, which protects and lengthens the life of the
electro glass piece
